CARE OF YOUR SNEAKERS

We want you to enjoy your PUMA footwear for as long as possible. Following some simple steps to look after them will help keep them looking good and performing for you, well into the future. If your sneakers get wet or dirty, clean them and dry them out as quickly as possible to prevent any long-term damage. PUMA do not ever recommend washing your sneakers in the washing machine, regardless of the material they are made from, as the glue and other fastenings can be damaged, and this may stop them performing as expected.

SUEDE

Suede is one of the most delicate fabrics we use for our footwear. We recommend treating your purchase with a suede treatment spray before their first wear. Suede doesn't respond well to water, and may mark if worn on wet or rainy days. If your Suedes get dirty or need a clean, PUMA recommend the use of a specialist suede cleaner and a brush. Do not put your Suedes in the washing machine, tumble dryer, or submerge in water, as the fabric will lose its texture, and the colours may run.

LEATHER / NUBUCK

Leather sneakers are better in wet conditions, although we still don't recommend you submerge them in water or wash in the washing machine. Clean any dirt off your sneakers with a damp cloth and mild detergent, or specialist leather cleaner and wipe dry. While the leather dries, stuff your shoes with paper or a dry towel, so they don't lose their shape.

CANVAS

To clean our canvas sneakers, first brush off any excess dirt. Using a mild, non-bleaching detergent and a cloth or old toothbrush, to remove stains or marks. While they dry, stuff your shoes with paper or a dry towel to hold their shape.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY PUMA CLOTHING?

Please refer to the individual care instructions provided on the PUMA garment you have purchased. Care instructions will vary depending on the material and type of garment. In general, avoid putting clothes in the dryer, as they may shrink. To prevent damage to printed graphics and embroidery, wash and iron your PUMA garment inside out.
